Healthy Eating Workshop with chef Sandy Garson
We’re so pleased to have been joined by our Ukranian, Turkish, Afghan and Middle Eastern friends at this fun and educational event. Teacher, food historian and chef Sandy Garson guided us through the history of world cuisine and the food industry.
She shared knowledge about the native ingredients of New England and demonstrated how to cook local dishes such as New England Chowder. Such a great program for new Mainers as they expand their understanding of local food. Thanks to Sandy and all who participated in this initiative sponsored by Azerbaijan Society of Maine.
